Raytheon Wins P-8A Poseidon Equipment Deal

Raytheon Co. received a $152,8 million contract to provide 53 APY-10 radar system production kits and related support for the P-8A Poseidon full-rate production aircraft (Lot 2 through Lot 6) for the Navy and the government of Australia.

The majority of work will be performed in McKinney, Texas, and is expected to be completed in August 2021.

Fiscal 2015 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds and other customer funds in the amount of $58,935,111 are being obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

This contract combines purchases for the Navy ($134,5 million) and the government of Australia ($18,3 million) under a cooperative agreement.

The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
