New Commander aboard USCGC Harriet Lane

Cmdr. John Cole relieved Cmdr. Michael Cribbs as commanding officer of the Portsmouth-based Coast Guard Cutter Harriet Lane during a change of command ceremony Thursday aboard the cutter at Base Portsmouth.

Cole recently served as the executive officer aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Rush in San Diego.

Cribbs’ next assignment will be at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C.
