Indian CG’s Sixteenth Patrol Vessel Launched

Yesterday, June 10, Cochin Shipyard launched the sixteenth of the 20 Fast Patrol Vessels (BY 516) being built for Indian Coast Guard.

The vessel was named ‘ICGS ARNVESH’ and launched in a ceremony at Cochin Shipyard.

The Keel of BY – 517, the seventeenth FPV for the Indian Coast Guard, was laid on the same day.

CSL has so far delivered 13 vessels in the 20 vessel series and the fourteenth vessel is getting ready for sea trials. The thirteenth vessel ICGS ANMOL was handed over to the Indian Coast Guard on June 1, 2015 nearly 20 days ahead of the schedule.
