USS Abraham Lincoln Promotes Ten Senior CPOs

Authorities

Ten Sailors assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) were advanced to the rank of senior chief petty officer during a pinning ceremony aboard USS Wisconsin (BB 64), June 5.

As is tradition, each senior chief selectee was pinned by members of their families. They were then capped with their new khaki combination covers by their mentors, marking the next milestone in their careers.

Lincoln is currently undergoing a refueling and complex overhaul (RCOH) at Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries in Newport News.
