Spanish Navy Helps Stop 1.800 Kilos of Cocaine

Spanish Navy’s patrol vessel Meteoro (P41) recently took part in an anti-drug operation in the Atlantic Ocean.

The operation, which was conducted on the night of May 16 about 800 miles away from Canary Islands, resulted in the seizure of 1,800 kilos of cocaine aboard a recreational vessel.

After conducting a search of the vessel, 85 bundles of cocaine were found and, together with four people, were transported aboard the patrol vessel Meteoro.

The operation was conducted in cooperation with the National Police.
