An F-35 Bravo Lighting II prepares to land on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1).
The operation was conducted in the Atlantic Ocean on May 20.
Wasp, with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 121 and VMFAT-501 embarked, is underway conducting the first phase of operational testing which will evaluate the full spectrum of F-35B measures of suitability and effectiveness in an at-sea environment.
