The Royal Netherlands Navy intercepted a shipment of 6,000 kilos of marijuana in the Caribbean Sea.

After a suspicious fishing vessel was spotted in the Caribbean by a USCG patrol aircraft, the Navy sent its patrol vessel Zr.Ms. Zeeland to conduct a routine inspection. Shortly after, the large amount of marijuana was found aboard the vessel which was on its way from Jamaica to Guyana.

The crew of 12 people, along with the seized cargo aboard the vessel, were escorted to Ponce in Puerto Rico and handed over to the officials.
