NATO MARCOM Hosts JFCBS Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff of Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS), Lieutenant General Janusz Adamczak, Polish Army, paid his first visit to the NATO Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) to meet with the MARCOM Chief of Staff, Rear Admiral Giorgio Lazio and his staff, to discuss operational matters of mutual interest for the two NATO operational commands.

Rear Admiral Lazio and Lieutenant General Adamczak discussed possible ways to improve the exchange of information and coordination between the two headquarters. Discussion also addressed NATO assurance measures, adaptation measures, and exercises such as the upcoming JFCBS-led Exercise TRIDENT JUNCTURE 2015, the largest NATO exercise in many years, scheduled for autumn 2015.

During his visit, Lieutenant General Adamczak received a tour of the Maritime Operations Centre, where he was presented with a brief on MARCOM operational activities.

Lieutenant General Janusz Adamczak was appointed the Chief of Staff, Joint Force Command Brunssum in August 2014. His career has included the command of Polish national forces including the 11th Armoured Cavalry Division and the 2nd Mechanized Corps, Land Component Command.
