Polish President Tours USS Jason Dunham

US Navy’s Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) welcomed aboard President of the Republic of Poland Bronisław Komorowski, while the ship was in port in Gdynia, Poland, May 8.

Komorowski was met by members of the U.S. Embassy to Poland, and Jason Dunham’s commanding officer Cmdr. Darren Dugan. His visit included a tour of the ship and a meeting in the ship’s wardroom.

Jason Dunham’s presence in Poland reaffirms to NATO allies that the U.S. Navy shares a commitment to strengthen ties while working toward mutual goals of promoting peace and stability in the Baltic region.
