Colombian Navy Stops 41 Migrants in Gulf of Uraba

The Colombian Navy recently interrupted a human smuggling attempt in the Gulf of Uraba.

41 migrants of different nationalities were being transported aboard three vessels operated by six Colombian smugglers who were arrested. The migrants were trying to reach Central America through Panama.

The migrants, as well as the vessels they were travelling in, and smugglers were taken to the authorities in Turbo, Colombia.

So far this year the Colombian Navy stopped 208 migrants and arrested 19 smugglers.
