Spanish Navy’s Alboran Deploys on Fisheries Campaign

The Spanish Navy’s patrol boat ‘Alboran’ deployed from Cartagena yesterday to take part in NEAFC 2015 campaign.

Alboran is joining NEAFC (North-East Atlantic Fisheries Commission) 2015 in the waters off Iceland.

Spanish Navy is contributing to the European Union’s seasonal campaign to ensure conservation of fishery resources through fisheries inspection and surveillance.

The vessel is expected to conduct the campaign for 40 days during which it will pay a visit to Reykjavik. After concluding the campaign, Alboran will head home to the port of Cartagena for a short rest before its next campaign in June and July.
