HMNZS Wellington Arrives to Homeport for Anzac Day

Royal New Zealand Navy’s HMNZS Wellington sailed into Wellington, her homeport, today.

The vessel was joined by New Caledonia-based FNS Vendemiaire for a formation entry.

HMNZS Wellington proceeded to the Queen’s Wharf, where she moored, while the FNS Vendemiaire went to the refuelling wharf and will join her companion tomorrow.

Both vessel are in Wellington for the Anzac Day commemorations this Saturday.

Anzac Day marks 100 years since the Anzacs landed on the shores of the Gallipoli Peninsula.
