The French Battle Group (Task Force 473) and Combined Task Force 150, currently under French command, recently engaged in several interactions in the north Arabian Sea.
While sailing to Goa, India, to take part in the Varuna naval exercise, French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle along with its battle group rendezvoused with the supply ship FS Var (A608), currently the command vessel of CTF 150.
During the meeting, the supply vessel conducted simultaneous replenishment-at-sea with frigates Chevalier Paul and Jean de Vienne.
CTF 150 is committed to building maritime counter-terrorism capability in regional navies and to promoting regional security and stability. Its vessels also assist mariners in distress and other humanitarian work as required.
