BAE Systems to Provide Weapons Engineering on US Subs

The U.S. Navy has awarded BAE Systems a three-year contract to provide engineering and other services to modernize weapon launch platforms on U.S. and allied submarines.

The initial award from the Naval Undersea Warfare Center is valued at $3.4 million, with the total value of the three-year contract estimated at $13.8 million.

BAE Systems will provide a wide range of support services, including development, analysis and integration of new weapon launch and payload systems; mechanical configuration and interface control; and fabrication, assembly, installation and evaluation of test facilities and naval platforms.

Work on the latest award will be performed at BAE Systems’ facilities in Middletown, Rhode Island, and Groton, Connecticut, and will support U.S. Navy operations across the globe.
