Hong Kong Welcomes USS Antietam

The Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Antietam (CG 54) arrived in Hong Kong for a port visit, April 3.

Sailors will be given the opportunity to experience the rich culture of Hong Kong with various tours of local historic locations and regional attractions provided by the ship’s morale, welfare and recreation (MWR) association.

The ship and its crew recently participated in exercise Multi-Sail 2015, which was aimed to increase its combat capability across different warfare areas.

Antietam, forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan, is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operation supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
