USS Jason Dunham En Route to the Black Sea

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) will enter the Black Sea, April 3, 2015, to promote peace and stability in the region.

The ship’s presence in the Black Sea demonstrates the United States’ commitment to working closely with allies to enhance maritime security and stability, readiness, and naval capability; and US commitment to promote peace and stability to NATO allies in the region.

Jason Dunham will enter Black Sea in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.

USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109), homeported in Norfolk, is on a routine patrol conducting naval operations with allies and partners in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in order to advance security and stability in the Black Sea region.
