US 6th Fleet Commander Visits USS Mount Whitney

Commander, U.S. 6th Fleet Vice Adm. James G. Foggo III visited the fleet’s command and control ship USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20) in Rijeka, March 31, 2015.

During the visit, Vice Adm. Foggo toured the ship and held an all-hands for Mount Whitney Sailors where he expressed his appreciation and admiration for the hard work that the Sailors have been providing while on board.

While in Rijeka, Foggo attended meeting with Croatian Chief of Naval Operations Commodore Predrag Stipanović and President of Viktor Lenac Shipyard Robert Skific.

The Mount Whitney is in the Viktor Lenac Shipyard for a regularly scheduled maintenance period intended to upgrade its physical, electrical, and war-fighting capabilities.
