Sri Lanka Navy Arrests 54 Indian Poachers

Sri Lanka naval patrol craft, attached to the Northern and North Central Naval Commands, apprehended 54 Indian fishermen poaching in Sri Lankan waters.

In this operation, conducted on March 21, a total of 10 Indian fishing boats was seized.

The fishermen were taken into naval custody in the seas off Kankesanturai and Thalaimannar, respectively, and were later handed over to fisheries officials for further action.
