Saudi Naval Forces Commander Visits Spanish Navy and Navantia

Admiral Abdullah Sultan Alsultan, Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces has paid an official visit to different units and facilities of the Spanish Navy and Navantia in Ferrol.

Upon his arrival, he was greeted by the Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral General Jaime Muñoz-Delgado. After the military honors he signed in the Visitors’ Book and later held a working meeting with the Spanish Chief of Naval Staff, the Chief of Ferrol Arsenal, Vice-admiral Manuel Garat Caramé, and accompanying members of the Royal Saudi Navy delegation.

They subsequently proceeded towards Navantia facilities where they were welcomed by the Company’s senior management.

The stay concluded with a visit to the F-104 frigate ‘Méndez Núñez’ where the Commanding Officer briefed the delegation on the ship’s capabilities and were later toured around the different compartments of the frigate.
