The Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Guadalupe (T-AO 200) delivers supplies to the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8).

The operation was conducted as part of a nighttime vertical replenishment in the Pacific Ocean.

Makin Island, the flagship of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, is returning to homeport in San Diego from a seven-month deployment to the western Pacific and U.S. Central Command areas of responsibility.
