Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 (SNMG2) paid a visit to the Italian Trieste port on February 13.
A tug escorted the SNMG2’2 flagship USS Vicksburg (CG 69) into the port where the vessel moored for a well-deserved rest.
SNMG2 is a multinational integrated force that projects a constant and visible reminder of the Alliance’s solidarity and cohesion afloat and provides the Alliance with a continuous maritime capability to perform a wide range of tasks, including exercises and real-world operations in periods of crisis and conflict.
