George H.W. Bush is getting underway to conducting training exercises in the Atlantic Ocean.

The vessel is the tenth and final Nimitz-class supercarrier of the United States Navy. Bush ’​s callsign is Avenger, after the TBM Avenger aircraft flown by then-Lieutenant George Bush in World War II.

The vessel is homeported in Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia.
