AMSEC Receives US Navy Services Deal

AMSEC LLC, Virginia Beach, Virginia, is being awarded a $7,1 million modification to a previously awarded contract for the accomplishment of continued engineering and technical services to support hull, mechanical and electrical systems and equipment on U.S. Navy ships.

The company will provide professional and technical services to upgrade fluid, habitability and thermal management systems planned for installation or alterations in support of Carderock programs.

Work will be performed on ships in port in the United States and overseas, and work is expected to be complete in September 2016.

Fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $7,158,832 will be obligated at the time of award. Funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, West Bethesda, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
