US Navy Warships Standby Near Yemen

U.S. Navy’s two warships are on standby near Yemen due to the ongoing militia forces uprising, according to Pentagon.

The uprising in Yemen continues with militia forces fighting to take control of the government, and the Pentagon is monitor the situation.

The vessels, USS Iwo Jima and USS Fort McHenry, are on station and ready to respond if needed.

The warships are on routine deployment in the Red Sea in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
