Lockheed Martin to Assist in LCS Remote Minehunting System Evaluation

Lockheed Martin is being awarded $8,7 million for cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order under a Basic Ordering Agreement to support technical evaluation and initial operational and evaluation of the Remote Minehunting System with the Littoral Combat Ship.

Work will be performed in Palm Beach, Florida and Syracuse, New York, and is expected to be completed by November 2015.

Fiscal 2015 research and development funding in the amount of $1,263,722 will be obligated at the time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.
