USS Cole, USNS Kanawha Engage in RAS

US Navy’s guided-missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG 67) conducted replenishment-at-sea on December 14 in the Mediterranean Sea.

The vessel engaged in the operation with the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Kanawha (TAO 196).

As part of USS Cole’s deployment in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility, the vessel is conducting naval operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe.

USS Cole is an Arleigh Burke-class Aegis-equipped guided missile destroyer homeported in Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia.
