Australian Navy’s newly commissioned ship Canberra III embarked its LHD Landing Craft for the first time.

The Navy’s first Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) moored at the Point Piper buoy in Sydney Harbour in preparation to receive the ship’s four Landing Craft.

The LHD Landing Craft, on their way from HMAS Waterhen to Canberra, passed under Sydney Harbour bridge and embarked into the ship’s well dock via the stern door.

Landing Helicopter Dock HMAS Canberra has completed Mariner Skills Evaluation (MSE) which checks a range of basic mariner skills such as berthing and departing from the wharf, man overboard and combating a range of potential emergencies onboard.
