USS Harry S. Truman to Undergo Modernization Works at HII

Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, Virginia, is being awarded a $7,9 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for nuclear propulsion and complex modernization work on USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) continuous incremental availability.

Work will be performed in Portsmouth, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by March 2015.

Fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance (Navy) contract funds in the amount of $7,997,357 will be obligated at time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.
