LLS Kaliningrad Leaves Russian Navy’s Mediterranean Ops

Large landing ship  (LLS) Kaliningrad has departed the Russian Navy’s permanent task force in the Mediterranean.

The vessel was replaced by LLS Alexander Shabalin, which joined the fleet on November 13.

Kaliningrad is currently conducting replenishemnt at the Spanish port of Ceuta, after which it will continue its journey to the Baltic Sea.

The vessel covered more than 45 thousand nautical miles during its Mediterranean deployment which started in December 2013.
