USS Ross Back in Naval Station Rota after 6th Fleet Ops

USS Ross (DDG 71) returned to Naval Station Rota, Nov. 18, after completing a four-month patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.

While on patrol, Ross, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, performed numerous missions including Baltic missile defense, maritime security operations, and bilateral and multilateral exercises with allies and partners throughout Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea.

Cmdr. Russ Caldwell, executive officer, USS Ross, said:

This deployment was incredible, absolutely incredible. We enjoyed working with our NATO allies.
