The George Washington Carrier Strike Group (GWCSG) arrived in Manila, Philippines on 23rd of October for a Goodwill Visit.
GWCSG is composed of Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) with embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, Arleigh Burke-class destroyers USS Stethem (DDG-63) and USS Mustin (DDG-89) and Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruisers USS Antietam (CG-54) and USS Cape St George (CG-71).
As part of the visit, the Philippine Navy and the US Navy conducted a community outreach program wherein assorted goods were given to Children International Incorporated.
