USS Truxtun Waves Goodbye to Abu Dhabi, UAE

Guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun (DDG 103) departed Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Oct. 13, following a scheduled four-day port visit.

During the visit, Sailors experienced the local culture and took advantage of tours provided by Morale Welfare and Recreation.

One of the tours offered during the visit was to the local amusement park Ferrari World, which included a museum, rides, and the fastest roller coaster in the world.

Truxtun is deployed as part of the George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
