Philippines Host Three JTS Warships
Three warships from the Japanese Training Squadron (JTS) arrived in Manila, Philippines, on Monday to promote camaraderie and strengthen bilateral relations with Philippine Navy (PN) counterparts.

PN representatives headed by Commodore Primitivo O Gopo, commander of Naval Reserve Command, welcomed the vessels JS KASHIMA (TV3508), JS SETOYUKI (TV3518) and JS ASAGIRI (DD151).

The vessels, which are part of the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) headed by its Commander, Rear Adm. Hideki Yuasa, will conclude their visit on October 16.

The visit aims to promote mutual understanding and good relationship the Philippine and Japanese Navies.

The goodwill visit will include activities such as Wreath laying at Rizal Shrine, Courtesy calls, Japanese Navy-Hosted Reception aboard JS KASHIMA, Goodwill Games, Shipboard Tour, Subject Matter Expertise Exchanges and PN-Hosted Reception.
