HMS Queen Elizabeth Leaves Babcock Dock in Rosyth, UK

HMS Queen Elizabeth was floated out of the Babcock dock in Rosyth (UK). Designed and built by BAE Systems and assembled by Babcock Marine, the HMS Queen Elizabeth is the biggest, and most powerful, surface warship ever to join the Royal Navy and capable of carrying up to forty aircraft.


 

Lockheed Martin Wins Aegis PSEA Deal

Lockheed Martin, Mission Systems and Training, Moorestown, New Jersey, is being awarded a $26,2 million modification to a previously awarded contract to incrementally fund the Aegis Platform Systems Engineering Agent (PSEA) activities and Aegis Modernization Advanced Capability Build engineering.


 

Fincantieri Shipyard Launches Pietro Venuti Submarine

The Fincantieri shipyard in Muggiano (La Spezia) hosted the launching ceremony for the “Pietro Venuti” submarine, the third unit of the four U212A “Todaro” class twin units ordered to Fincantieri by the Central Unit for Naval Armament – NAVARM for the Italian Navy.
