Northrop Grumman Corporation has been awarded a $61 million performance based logistics (PBL) supply support contract from the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command’s NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support facility in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

This five-year contract will enable 24-hour, 7 days a week fleet support and continues a 10-year partnership between Northrop Grumman’s Charlottesville operation and the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Command.

The contract includes the management of various Northrop Grumman-supplied products and systems including the WSN Ring Laser Gyro Navigation system, AN/BPS-15/16 Radar Set Weapon system, Steering/Scalable Integrated Bridge System and SPQ-9B radar set items.

The PBL program encompasses new build spare parts, repairs, onboard spare parts support, obsolescence management, inventory control, configuration management, serial number tracking and customer database entries involving almost every active Navy surface ship and submarine, as well as select foreign naval surface ships under Foreign Military Sales agreements.

“Timely fleet support to help ensure the highest level of operational readiness has been a top priority for the last decade and we are honored to support this mission,” said Todd Leavitt, vice president of Maritime Systems, Northrop Grumman. “By supporting unforeseen needs and faster turnaround deployment schedules, the PBL program dramatically increases the availability of critically required parts to satisfy our Navy warfighters quickly and cost effectively.”
