Maersk Receives USNS Bobo-Class Ships Modification Deal

Maersk Line Ltd., Norfolk, Virginia, is being awarded a $33 million modification under a previously awarded firm-fixed-price award fee contract to exercise the fourth option period of this contract for the operation and maintenance of five USNS Bobo-class ships.

 

These ships support the U. S. Marine Corps Maritime Prepositioning Force worldwide.

Work will be performance at sea world-wide, and work for this option period is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2015.

Transportation working capital contract funds in the amount of $33,016,247 are being obligated at the time of award, and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Military Sealift Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.
