USS Roosevelt Leaves Jebel Ali, UAE

Guided-missile destroyer USS Roosevelt (DDG 80) departed Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates (UAE), after a scheduled port visit Sept. 4.

The visit gave Sailors an opportunity to explore the rich culture and history of the UAE.

During the port visit, Sailors met the people of UAE and immersed themselves in the sights and sounds of the city. Sailors were able to explore various world-renowned shopping malls, marvel at the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, go to water and amusement parks and enjoy the local cuisine.
