Image of the Day: EA-18G Growler aboard USS Carl Vinson

US Navy Airman William Gutierrez, from Estero, Fla., walks past an EA-18G Growler from the Cougars of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 139 on the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70).

 

Carl Vinson and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17, are on deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting Valiant Shield. Valiant Shield is a U.S.-only biennial exercise integrating joint training among U.S. forces.
