Sri Lanka Navy Arrests Six Poachers

Sri Lanka Naval craft attached to the North Central Naval Command on routine patrol arrested 6 Indian fishermen poaching in Sri Lankan waters North of Mannar.

During this operation on 8th September 2014 they also seized an Indian fishing trawler.

The arrested fishermen will be handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Mannar for legal action.
