Sri Lanka Navy facilitated the repatriation of 23 Sri Lanka fishermen who had been released from the Indian custody. The fishermen along with 4 fishing trawlers were taken over from Indian Coast Guard Ship “Vishwast” at the Indo-Sri Lanka International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) North of Kankas
The fishermen along with 4 fishing trawlers were taken over from Indian Coast Guard Ship “Vishwast” at the Indo-Sri Lanka International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) North of Kankasanturai on 03rd September 2014.
Sri Lanka Naval Ship L 820 and Sri Lanka Coast Guard Ship CG 48 assisted the humanitarian mission.
