An F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the Valions of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 15 launches from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77).

 

George H.W. Bush is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.

USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) is the tenth and final Nimitz-class supercarrier of the United States Navy. Bush’s callsign is Avenger, after the TBM Avenger aircraft flown by then-Lieutenant George Bush in World War II.
