USS Truxtun Leaves Manama, Bahrain

USS Truxtun (DDG 103) departed Manama, Bahrain July 19, following a scheduled six-day port visit.

Sailors experienced the local culture and life during Ramadan, and took advantage of the activities available at Naval Support Activity Bahrain. The port visit also gave the crew a chance to conduct maintenance and topside preservation.

“Bahrain afforded us the opportunity to work as a team to overcome challenges while conducting preservation in a challenging environment,” said Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Randall Stovall.

The Truxtun is deployed as part of the George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
