Spanish Navy Retrieves 36 Packages of Drugs

The Spanish Navy’s patrol vessel “Infanta Cristina” participated in a drug-related operation in the Alboran Sea last Sunday.

 

While on patrol in the Strait of Gibraltar “Infanta Cristina” spotted a suspicious high speed craft and started pursuit. After following the craft for four hours, together with the “Alcotán 6” patrol boat, the craft was located about eight miles to the east of Punta Europe. A total of 36 packages of drugs, about a thousand kilos, were recovered during the operation.

According to the Spanish Navy, the patrol vessels lost sight of the high speed craft which was last seen headed to Cabo Negro (Morocco).
