Philippine Navy Receives Two Boats

Edmond Borja, proprietor of Merlion Fishing Supply, donated two 5-tonner boats to the Philippine Navy.

According to the Navy Chief, Vice Adm. Jesus C Millan, the boats will be beneficial in supporting the administrative requirements of the floating assets that will be stationed especially in Naval Forces West (NFW), the unit that will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the donated boats.

Initially, the boats were to be donated to the Western Command (WESCOM) but the command opted that the ownership, utilization and maintenance of the boats be given to its naval component, the NFW.
