Two ‘Harrier’ Aircraft Take Part in Farnborough Airshow, UK

Two Spanish Navy’s ‘Harrier’ aircraft from the 9th Aircraft Squadron have participated in the Farnborough International Airshow (United Kingdom).

The show ran from the 10th to the 21st of July 2014. This important airshow is organized every two years alternating with Le Bourget (France).

The purpose of this year’s Festival was twofold: on the one hand, this year is the centenary of the UK Aviation and the general public was invited to the different activities and airshows organized to celebrate the event. On the other hand, this world-famous International Fair is an important showcase for trade and commerce where businessmen and multinational firms from the aeronautical sector show their products, meet and conduct businesses, and sign contracts and agreements.

This year’s edition included the participation of nearly 80 different types of aircraft, many of which conducted aerobatics. The Spanish Navy ‘Harrier’ aircraft played a leading role in the show and their performance was much appreciated by the public.
