Image of the Day US Navy Vessels Transit in Formation

The Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS William McLean (T-AKE 12), the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), and the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) transit in formation after conducting an underway replenishment and weapons onload.

 

Theodore Roosevelt is out to sea conducting training for upcoming deployments.

USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) (also known as “the Big Stick” or TR) is the fourth Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. She was launched in 1984, saw her first action during Operation Desert Storm in 1991, and is currently homeported at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia.
