Chinese Submarine Chaser Decommissioned

The naval port in Zhoushan, east China’s Zhejiang province, held a decommissioning ceremony for the Chinese submarine chaser “Hai’an” 650.

 

According to China Military Online, the vessel, which was deliver to the People’s Liberation Army Navy in December 1981 and served the Navy for 33 years, was officially retired from service yesterday morning.

Manufactured by the Chongqing Shipyard, the vessel is 58.77 meters long, 7.20 meters wide, has a draught of 2.2 meters, and has an estimated maximum speed of 30.5 knots.
