CACI International Inc has been awarded a $26.6 million contract to provide Engineering and Technical Related Services (ETRS) in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD).

NSWC IHEODTD, located in Indian Head, Md., is one of nine Warfare Center divisions that report to the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). It provides research, development, engineering, manufacturing, testing, evaluation, and in-service support for energetics, ordnance, and EOD solutions for the Navy and joint forces. The ETRS contract supports the division’s Picatinny Detachment, which manages gun systems, ammunition, and ordnance materials for the Navy.

Under the contract, CACI will continue to support weapon systems engineering, technology, and logistics. The company will provide technical systems engineering analysis and basic engineering studies of weapon systems and performance as well as technical documents, drafting, and illustrations.

John Mengucci, CACI’s Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations, said, “On the ETRS contract supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head EOD Technology Division, CACI offers seamless engineering support of the Navy’s critical missions along with unmatched knowledge of their business requirements and technical environment.”

According to CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury, “CACI’s award of the ETRS contract by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head EOD Technology Division continues our long-term partnership with this customer and is an excellent example of our commitment to customer service and satisfaction. This contract is also a demonstration of the success of our strategy to secure ongoing work in our high-volume C4ISR market area.”
