Sri Lanka Navy Arrests Indian Fishermen

Sri Lanka Navy arrested seven Indian fishermen along with Indian fishing trawler engaged in poaching well within Sri Lankan waters in the seas of Nayaru.

 

The fishermen were arrested by the naval craft attached to the Eastern Naval Command on routine patrol on 19th June 2014.

They were handed over to the Harbour Police in Trincomalee for further action.
