Image of the Day: F/A-18C Hornet Lands aboard USS George H.W. Bush

An F/A-18C Hornet, attached to the “Valions” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 15 lands aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77).

 

George H. W. Bush is on a scheduled deployment supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.

USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) is the tenth and final Nimitz-class supercarrier of the United States Navy. Bush’s callsign is Avenger, after the TBM Avenger aircraft flown by then-Lieutenant George Bush in World War II.
